Aylin Yardımcı

Hi, I am a Ph.D. candidate in International Relations and Political Science at the Graduate School of Social Sciences and HumanitiesKoç University.

I hold an M.Sc. degree in European Political Economy from the European Institute, London School of Economics and Political Science, and a B.A. degree in Politics and Sociology from the University of Sheffield.

I am currently working on my doctoral dissertation titled Emerging donors and foreign aid policy making: the domestic determinants of Turkey’s foreign aid policy. The objective of my research is to develop a new typology of non-traditional donors concentrating on the domestic factors that influence foreign aid policy making, and to conceptualize the endogenous actors and processes shaping Turkey's foreign aid policy and expenditure.

My research interests include international relations - foreign policy analysis, international organizations, models of decision making, Turkish foreign policy; international political economy - political economy of foreign aid policy making, development cooperation; and emerging donors - non-DAC providers of ODA.

I am also interested in typological theory building.
